Q: I typed the wrong address, or I am changing addresses - how do I make a change?

Send me a message using this form to ensure we get the address updated. I also recommend always setting mail to forward to your new address. Note: Please reach out within 3 business days of placing an order and we'll be able to make the amendments to your address prior to shipping. If the notification is made after the letter has shipped, the first letter will be sent to the former address, and we will resend another letter.

Q: What if my first letter doesn't arrive?

Send me a message using this form . Another first letter will be resent within 3 business days and is expected to be delivered in up to 2 weeks for U.S. orders and six weeks for international orders.

I mail using the USPS mail system. Your first letter will mail within 3 business days of your order via USPS with tracking (US orders) and takes 2-5 days to arrive. (An average of 5-8 business days total) Your subsequent letters will following the shipping schedule below, mailing on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month.

Note: Please allow up to 2 weeks from your mailing date for US Deliveries, and 4-6 weeks for international letters. And don't worry, you'll always start the story from the beginning so you're not missing anything!

Current Mailing Schedule

If you order ScareMail today, the following will be your schedule for receiving your letters.

Letter #1: Ships in 1-3 business days via USPS with tracking. It takes approximately 2-5 business days from shipping to receive it (5-8 business days total).
Letter #2: Send via regular mail via the NEXT mailing dates above. Delivery can take up to 2 weeks for US orders and slightly longer for international orders. Tracking is not available on subsequent letters.
Remaining Letters: Remaining letters are mailed on the mailing dates listed above and take up to 2 weeks for US orders and 6 weeks for international orders.

For US based customers, your first letter will always be trackable with USPS Ground Advantage and enclosed in a protective envelope. It will ship within 1-3 business days with an estimated delivery time of 2-5 days after shipping within the U.S. Total transit time is approximately 5-8 days. International letters have an estimated delivery time of up to 2-6 weeks after shipping.

Remaining letters will be sent via regular mail and will not include tracking information.

If you order the collectable box and story together, the first letter will be placed inside the box. When I founded Scaremail I knew each letter would require to be designed, folded and mailed with care. I hand package, stamp and mail each letter so when it arrives the presentation is up the standard I have set and work to maintain. As a result, each mailing takes time to ensure I have appropriate materials and people to help us with each mailing.
